Welcome to the
website for Joe Torre's Virtual Baseball
Academy. After all my years in baseball,
this is the first time I have developed
an instructional product for youth players,
their parents and coaches. I have had a lot of great experiences as
both a player and manager, including winning
four World Series titles. Through it all,
I have enjoyed teaching this great game more
then anything else. It's a real highlight
for me whenever I have the opportunity to
be around young ball players and share my
knowledge of the game. It's an experience
I want to pass on to our youth, in order
to develop confidence, leadership and athletic
ability.
As parents and coaches, you have an opportunity
and responsibility to help shape this growth
and development. Remember to treat these
young players with respect and encouragement.
It's amazing what an impact this can have
on their lives. My hope is that this CD,
which represents my way of teaching the game,
will provide the framework to help you bring
the game of baseball to the lives of all
these young people.
